Churros
Ingredients:
6 tbsp butter
1 cup water
1 1/2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp salt
1 cup flour
3 eggs + 1 egg yolk
oil for frying
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
Instructions:
In a sauce pan over high heat, melt the butter.
Add in the water, sugar, vanilla extract and salt. Allow it to reach a boil. Now add 1 cup of flour and mix until completely combined and the dough is in one piece.
Take the pan off the heat and add the eggs. Mix continuously until it’s silky and smooth, around 5-7 minutes.
In a large pot, heat up some oil (1-2 inches thick) until it reached 375 °F or 190 °C.
Transfer the churro into a piping bag with a star tip. Also set up a rack with tissue paper.
In a medium bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon for the sugar coating.
Pipe the churros into the oil and drag, using scissors cut them at 3 inches long. Cook for 6-8 minutes and use a spider spoon to flip.
Once cooked take them out of the oil and place them on the tissue to soak up some of the excess oil. (only 10 seconds)
Evenly coat the churros in the sugar and place on a serving plate.
For the chocolate dip, you can use some nutella thinned our with milk.
